Mazda Evaluates AI-CAE and Optimization for In-Cabin Airflow Development

RICOS and Mazda have launched a joint evaluation of optimization using AI-CAE algorithms.

As part of Mazda's research and development on airflow in climate-controlled vehicle cabins, the project combines AI-CAE tools with optimization methods to streamline both the search for flow fields that satisfy target requirements and the investigation of the underlying physical phenomena.

Through rapid simulation-based predictions and the optimization of design conditions, the project seeks to improve cabin comfort while reducing the energy required for climate control.
